Assassin’s Creed Rogue: A Prequel to Assassin's Creed 4

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is an action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Sofia and released in 2014 as a prequel to Assassin's Creed 4. The game continues the story of Black Flag and follows the journey of Shay Patrick Cormac, a young American assassin who goes rogue after being disappointed by the Assassins Brotherhood. The game features a blend of both past and present timelines, with the player uncovering a major conspiracy in the present timeline after a virus attacks Abstergo Entertainment servers.

The game takes place in the northern part of North America, allowing players to explore a frozen seashore of the Atlantic, the territory of the Apache, the Valley of Rivers, and a remade version of New York City in the eighteenth century. The game features the same ship sailing mechanics as its predecessor, Assassin's Creed IV, and players must navigate the seas and escape from Assassins while minimizing the casualties of their sailors and destroying enemy ships. Shay's ship, the Morrigan, is well-adapted for sailing through the ice and seas of the Atlantic, equipped with barrels of oil and Puckle guns. The game rewards creative mission approaches, and players have access to several swords, an air gun, a pistol, and several grenades.
